I replied “ Young lady you have to change your work ethic and dedicate yourself to your craft, relentless in your conviction and stead fast in your tribulations.

Dedication has to be unyielding with a laser focus for success, repeated stability of muscle memory compounded by daily mental handling of intrinsic stress.

I will be your guide and some days you will not like me, but as your coach my job is to make you a champion and understand what success means and the level it takes to be free.

The trust that is needed will resemble a belief in a common goal, that will show you what unconditional dedication and respect is baselined 10-fold.

Your work-ethic was relentless as we worked 5-7 days a week, perfecting your craft with blood sweat and tears to a countless rhythmic beat.

Breaking National records that still belong to you in hurdles and long jump, pressing your name in the record books with a profound foot stomp.

Obliterating records at the college circuit, ready to turn pro with profound dreams and harder dedication so intricate.

2024 a year to remember runner-up Indoor in Budapest, gold medal in US Olympic Trials and now Gold medal in Paris Olympics to bring out that smile.

I will always cherish the bond we created, coach to athlete, and like a daughter to me always there for you, never publicly stated.

Winning 2 NCAA Indoor or Outdoor titles in LJ and making the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and turning pro, but what amazes me the most, being right there for everything, was watching you mature and your kindness and love for people like a cocoon prospering with constant growth.

Continue to flourish and do Gods path, make this life a better place and cherish this chosen task.
